The Eventing LTED Program is back and better than ever! With a Development and Competition tier, there is something for everyone in this program. Check out the program outline and apply below!
Where do you fit in the LTED program?
Development Tier – For those new to the sport or who wish to advance through the lower levels.
- INTRO (0”- 24”) – Must complete EC Rider Level 1 or CPC Level D
- EV70 (2’3”) – Starter – Must complete EC Rider Level 2 or CPC Level D
- EV78 (2’6”) – Pre-Entry – Must complete EC Rider Level 3 or CPC Level D
Competitive Tier – For those who wish to further their skills and knowledge in competition. Participants in this tier may be chosen to compete for Team NB in the Eastern Canadian Championships.
- EV 85 (2’9”) – Entry – Must complete EC Rider Level 4 or CPC Level D1
- EV 90 (3’) – Pre-Training – Must complete EC Rider Level 5 or CPC Level D2
- EV 100 (3’3”) -Training / EV105 (3’6”) – Must complete EC Rider Level 6 or CPC Level C / C1
What’s the program all about?
The program consists of five training camps:
- Camp #1 (April 13) – Unmounted – Introduction to program and sessions on everything Eventing!
- Camp #2 (May 4) – Dressage & Stadium Jumping with Donna McInnis, Deanna Phalen, Sam Atkinson
- Camp #3 (June 1) – Cross Country (XC) with Caroline Oja
- Camp #4 (September 7) – Cross Country (XC) with Sam Atkinson
- Camp #5 (October 26) – Unmounted – LTED Wrap-Up Bar-B-Que and Awards
Who can I use for my Cross Country lessons?
- Due to the high risk associated with Cross Country riding, all XC lessons to count towards program requirements have to be conducted by an Equestrian Canada Licensed and Certified Instructor or Coach.
- The Development Tier must use a Licensed Instructor or higher for their XC lessons
- The Competitive tier must use a Licensed Competition Coach or higher for their XC lessons

How do you apply?
- Riders to submit an LTED application to NBEA/HTNB by March 29, 2024. Please include:
- Application Form – including a letter of support from your coach if new to the program.
- Program Fee – Development Tier ($200) / Competitive Tier ($300)
- E-transfer to equinenb@gmail.com / Cheques made payable to NBEA.
- Proof of memberships: NBEA and HTNB (for both Tiers) plus EC (for Competitive Tier)
- Proof of vaccinations (flu/rhino/tetanus, strangles) and a negative coggins test (dated 2024) must be provided by April 20, 2024.
