Eventing Dressage Judges Clinic
The Canadian Eventing Officials Committee will be hosting a Bronze level Dressage judges clinic at CNHP on Friday, July 1st with Jo Young.
The one day clinic is designed to provide basic training for eventing dressage judging. The morning will comprise of a theory of dressage session and the afternoon will provide a practical session for judging. This clinic can be attended by anyone interested in learning the basics of dressage judging and is an excellent opportunity for riders, parents, coaches, and volunteers to better understand dressage judging.
Upon successful completion of the clinic, participants will be eligible to receive a 'Trained' eventing dressage status and will be able to officiate at Bronze level eventing competitions as the dressage judge. Please note that by receiving the 'Trained' eventing dressage status participants are NOT designated as an Equine Canada Dressage Judge – this new designation is simply used in the Bronze level eventing competitions where access to EC dressage officials is limited.
This is a good way to see if judging may be your thing! Cost for the course is $75. If you know of others whom you think might be interested, please feel free to send this message along to them and they can contact Pam Macintosh at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (902) 893-2042 for more information.
